A little help
3rd-Dec-2008 06:29 pm

Hello everyone,
I'm writing a paper on the Buffalo Soldiers and came across this image. I know the woman has a name but I'm blanking on it...it's not Lady Justice or Liberty, but I think it's something along those lines. Does anybody know?

Thanks,
Anna

buffalosoldiers.com is where I found the picture, they didn't go into detail about the picture. I'll look at Wikipedia.

Might want to contact the Buffalo Soldiers National Museum, which I'm able to visit right here in Houston (I need to get my butt over there soon, too, I've been meaning to). They may very well have the answer to the question you seek.

Actually, I did some research on that photo, and the Library of Congress' website says that that particular figure doesn't have a specific name. It's just an unnamed representational figure of liberty.
